Sept. 7 - Kindness Grants

Day 249 of a year of kindness - Something kind is brewing at Florida Gulf Coast University. The Roots of Compassion & Kindness Center (ROCK) promotes compassion, kindness, and empathy through education, action, and research.

Led by Maria Loffredo Roca, ROCK instructors teach FGCU students about kindness and compassion and also reach out to schools and community organizations. They also - and this is very unique - offer kindness grants to students, faculty and staff who want to spread kindness, compassion, and empathy within the FGCU community.They are actively encouraging their community members to apply for grants in support of projects designed to spread kindness.
