Day 244 of a year of kindnessKindness ambassador #30, Linda Sacramona, tossed around some kindness at the grocery store.
I was going through the self-checkout line at our local grocery store this evening when I saw a police officer checking out next to me. He was fully outfitted in his uniform, boots and bulletproof vest. I thought that he was either taking a break or was getting ready for a long nighttime shift. It was going to be a stormy night. So, thinking of the $10 Kindness “trick,” I asked him what kind of candy bar he liked. He said Snickers, so I quickly added a Snickers bar to my purchase.
As he was leaving, I tossed him the candy bar and said, “Here you go!”He caught it mid-air and said, “Thanks!”His smile of appreciation was well worth the effort!
Science of Kindness: Research and my own observations reveal that getting a free Snickers bar tossed to you in a grocery store is always going to make you smile. Small acts of kindness can make the biggest difference. #Bekind #kindnessisfree #kindnessmatters #bekind
