Day 259 of a year of kindness

This might be TMI, but I have to keep the kindness real. Today I gave flowers and a card to Ethan, my physical therapist, for saving me from public and private humiliation. Before our appointment last Friday, I took some medication that I hadn’t taken before. I was feeling nauseous on my way to the appointment but decided to power through it. Half-way through my appointment, my nausea took a turn and I told Ethan that I had to leave immediately.

I threw on my sneaker and my boot and as I was bolting out the front door, that sweet man thrust a garbage bag in my direction and I grabbed it. Let’s just say that the garbage bag saved me from having to buy a new car.

Ethan appreciated my flowers and card but I will never forget the garbage bag rescue. (Photo is of Ethan helping my mother with her PT.)

Science of Kindness: Science and my life experience reveal that kindness inserts itself in all of the messy, complicated, painful, joyful parts of our lives. When a kindness is extended - especially during the hard parts - it is rarely forgotten. #BeKind #kindnessmatters
