Day 329 of a year of kindness

I called two old friends today. I have celebrated so many holidays with them and their families and it feels like forever since we’ve spoken. One had a milestone birthday that I missed, and the other has a son graduating from college soon, which feels impossible - I was just driving a group of them to elementary school.

Time goes by so quickly and it’s too easy to lose track of precious people in our lives - especially when you move away from those people. So, they have been on my mind and I picked up the phone. It was like no time at all had passed, which was such a relief.

My call to my high school friend inspired him to reach out to other old friends who we had no updates about. My kindness was bridging time and distance to reconnect with friends who made my life infinitely better when they were in it.

Science of Kindness: Research reveals that reconnecting with old friends strengthens our bonds, lowers stress, and boosts happiness. But beyond the research, it simply feels good to be valued and remembered.#BeKind #KindnessCounts #KindnessCounts2025 #kindnessmatters #friendships
