Day 143 of a year of Kindness 

My cousin Catherine flew up from Maryland to go to the beach but it rained. So instead, we went shopping and found ourselves driving to the Animal Rescue of Rhode Island with dog treats. They let us play and snuggle with three dogs including a chubby Beagle named Ozzy and a rambunctious Lab mix named Norma. I’m not sure who it was kindest for - the dogs or us. It was so lovely seeing them smile. I plan to volunteer for them in some capacity. It's hard to walk away from those dogs!
