Day 131 of a year of Kindness

Self-care Sunday required napping. I was lucky enough to see both of my children and my mother today. My daughter, her friend Brie, and I took a walk down the beach and adjusted a broken heart in the sand. It reminded me that we need to be kind to ourselves - especially on holidays (like Mother's Day) when our hearts might need extra care. I was weary today after a hectic week. I allowed myself the kindness of falling asleep on the beach on a day that felt like summer in New England.

Science of kindness: Self-care means taking the time to do things that help you live well and improve both your physical health and mental health. Studies reveal that acts of self-care can help you manage stress, lower your risk of illness, and increase your energy. Even small acts of self-care in your daily life can have a big impact. #kindnessiscontagious #kindnessisfree #kindness #selfcare
