Day 138 of a year of Kindness
A few months ago, I researched the best time to plant sunflowers and I wrote today in my calendar. Fortunately, the sun was shining. I bought some sunflower seeds, dug rows in the dirt and popped 50 seeds into the ground. It made me happy to plant them. It will also make my friends and family happy when (hopefully) they bloom in a few months. Creating a little garden is kind because it helps the environment, connects you with nature and gives you something beautiful in return. It’s hard not to smile when you see a sunflower.
Science of kindness: Research shows that sunflowers can increase happiness and reduce stress levels. Sunflowers are special because the flowers attract birds and pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, which help support local ecosystems. Bees and butterflies are also on the decline, which means they need our help. #kindnessiscontagious #kindnessisfree #kindness #sunflowers #gardenparty
