Day 201 of a year of Kindness
While I'm recuperating from surgery, I've got kindness ambassadors who are keeping the kindness ball rolling. My second kindness ambassador, Kathy Grey, served up a kindness to Rose, a woman she sees regularly when she shops at her neighborhood Walgreens in Fort Myers, Fla. Over the years Kathy has gotten to know Rose, and knows that currently she is overburdened with life’s stressors. So, today, she added a kindness to her purchases and gave Rose a card. Her eyes welled up before she even started to read it. It meant so much to her.
Science of Kindness: Research reveals that giving a card to someone to share your love and encouragement is kind because it shows you care about their well-being causing them to feel seen and supported. It helps people feel less alone.
