Day 338 of a year of kindness
Today I brought some lunch and some kindness pens to Narragansett High School. I met with two inspiring Narragansett High School teachers - Sarah Dully and Ariana Fogarty. They started the Anchor Club - a service club for students. They were inspired to create the club when a student wanted to be more involved in the community - and they realized that none of the school clubs required service. So, they started one.
Their dream is to have an Anchor Club scholarship that is awarded to one or two seniors for their service. It’s nice to imagine a world where schools recognize and reward students for acts of kindness. We met today to explore an idea for a new kindness project—something I’ll share soon.
Science of Kindness: Research shows that a society that values kindness, civility, and community thrives. Volunteering and service are linked to longer lifespans and stronger immune systems. #BeKind #KindnessCounts #KindnessCounts2025 #kindness #kindnesseffect #givingback
