Day 354 of a year of kindness

I got the kindest surprise today. I went over to my cousin Catherine Wilson’s house for dinner tonight. Before dinner, while we were talking in the living room, her husband, Dan Fitzgerald, handed me a present. I was so surprised - it’s not even Christmas!

I opened it carefully and to my surprise and delight - he made me a kindness calendar for 2026! He picked out photos and kindness quotes and pulled them together for a homemade calendar. I was so touched. After I read the quotes and admired all of his hard work, we talked about my year of kindness. 

The calendar felt like another unexpected and wonderful moment from a year of surprises. I hung it up on my wall as soon as I got home. I feel ready for 2026. What a thoughtful gift. I will never forget it. I have a very kind cousin-in-law.
