Day 336 of a year of kindness

Today is Giving Tuesday - a day of creating awareness around the profound impact of giving back.It invites us to pause and reflect on an organization or cause that we care about. Today, I chose to donate some money to the United Way of Lee, Hendry, and Glades in Florida. I lived in Southwest Florida for more than two decades and one of the reasons I left (among other personal reasons) was hurricane heartache. The folks in Southwest Florida have been through some tough times and they continue to lift each other up.

I also wanted to support my friend, kindness ambassador, and United Way co-chair, Carolyn Cull Rogers, who was recently lowered onto a stage in a Princess Leah costume to encourage people to give. The force is strong when you give back.
