Dec. 12 - Cocoa, Cookies and Kindness

Day 346 of a year of kindnessToday my kindness was shaking off the day’s hassles and deliberately carrying a bit of Christmas cheer to strangers. 

My friend Dayna Harpster and I joined the Eureka Springs Hot Cocoa and Cookie Crawl tonight, where downtown shops handed out cookies and poured hot cocoa into the cool mugs we bought. We smiled, greeted and thanked people for hot chocolate and cookies. It truly was a win-win situation.

Science of Kindness: Research and my own experience reveals that it’s easy to be kind and share kindness when you have a cookie and a hot chocolate in your hand.
