Day 334 of a year of kindness
I bought myself a present. I can get stressed during the holidays. I can get so stressed that sometimes the joy of the season can slip through my fingers. This morning I read (again!) the value of meditation. The idea that “10 minutes a day keeps the drama away.”
Studies show that meditation can shrink the amygdala - the part of the brain that fuels stress and fear and strengthen the area that controls focus, decision-making and calm. So, in my effort to take care of my mind, body and soul, I renewed my membership to the Calm App. I’m committing to seeking tools that help me destress.
