Day 96 of a year of Kindness I went to a sound bath meditation. I’ve participated briefly in this kind of meditation, but I’ve never committed an hour and a half like I did today. It requires that you lie down, close your eyes, breathe, and allow yourself to be immersed in soothing sounds. The instructors play and create waves of echoing sound from instruments including gongs. It was very relaxing. I spoke to a woman after class who shared that she enjoys sound baths because she leaves in a better mood and sleeps like a baby. I left happier, calmer and more relaxed. At the end, the instructor thanked us for taking time for ourselves. I’m starting to get the hang of that concept.

Science of kindness: There are so many benefits from meditation including improved mood, reduced depression and anxiety, and better sleep. A scientifically measurable effect is detectable after just a few minutes of meditating. You can reap significant benefits after practicing for just 10 minutes a day. #kindness #kindnessiscontagious  @10kindnessclub #kindnessisfree #SoundsofHarmony #soundbath #soundbathmeditation
